You're talkin' my language! Simple is good... very, very good. 😊 Also, thank you for introducing us to the Father of Mac & Cheese, James Hemings. I never heard of him before. Now I'm wondering about his original recipe.
Wayne, I look forward to Vintage Morels and really enjoy your observations and ideas. Thank you for a slew of new simple recipes to try, plus a yearning for tuna noodle casserole which I haven't had for ages. I used to make a lowbrow version when my kids were little, which was a box of Kraft mac and cheese prepared with whole milk and butter, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and a can of drained tuna. Steamed frozen peas on the side were a must. Comforting and not too bad if you worked and commuted all day. Can't wait to try Sassy's meatloaf! Thanks for another great edition.
Perfect timing for this time of year! I like your use of the word "glug". My mom also made chicken chow mein with celery. It was my first exposure to "Chinese" food.
Bonus points for "a glog of ketchup"!

I love that Sara’s nickname is “Sassy.” Claire just had a Sassy cidre brut at the Cafe Vavin au Paris. You should bring her here and she can glug one.
The word fits my cooking style.
