I am going to order some small batch soy sauce - thank you! Reading Vintage Morels has been a joy each month, and I appreciate all of your stories, suggestions and information. Happy New Year, and I look forward to more good stuff from you in 2024.

Oh, you are so sweet to say that! Can I talk you into sending me the same message every month?

I've always had Susans to store my spices. Great post!

Lazy Susans are awesome - I have at least eight of them scattered around the kitchen, two in the open and the rest in cupboards. I never thought of the milk spinning trick, though - your sisters must have been terrified whenever they had breakfast with you!

Chives are wonderful, hardy little plants. Those pom-pom-like flowers attract bees like crazy, but be careful where you plant them, because they spread like crazy, too. But an edible lawn isn't such a bad thing, though, is it?

Thank you for the good info. :)
