I didn't realize that moonshine was something you could buy in a store! Wish I had all this interesting info before going to a wedding in TN. last summer.

What a great roundup of Thanksgiving recipes and ideas--thanks! As someone who has made turkey 3 times, I will be reading Jenny Rosenstrach's recipe carefully, along with the Sam Sifton one in Bon Appetit for "A Simple Turkey" (dry brined). It's great that you admit some of your kitchen fails so we can learn from them (I would have thought more cheese is better in a grilled cheese sandwich).

I usually dry brine our bird, but this year I'm not cooking. Yeah! I, too, like sausage in the stuffing. Glad you are keeping the "glug". Happy Thanksgiving!
