WINTER WREATHS
'Tis the season for them. But they're oh-so popular year round, as well. They come in any color, any construction material, any size, and nearly any price. In most all cases, they can be lovely . . .
The variety seems endless. A Mixed Greenery 24-inch wreath can be found for $1. So can a $4,000+ 12-feet in diameter wreath with 1,800 LED lights. These photos are of wreaths purchased at farmer’s markets in Walnut Creek, California, but here are also dozens of retail stores and mail order houses that offer a cornucopia of choices.
This time of year there are Christmas Traditional, Balsam, Fir, Fragrant, Faux Apple, Lavender Herb, Farm House, Pine Berry, North Pole, Green Holly, Fragrant Pod, Copper Ribbon, Pine Cone, Woodland Eucalyptus, Dolly Parton Holly Dolly, Frosted Berry, Poinsettia Pinecone, Red & Gold Ornament, and Fragrant Berry.
Come spring look for Peach Colored Natural Rose, Cherry Blossom, and Plum Blossom.
Come summer, there are Red Rose, Amaryllis, Peony, Hydrangea/Pumpkin/Peony.
Come fall, Maple Pine Cone and Leaf, Ashland Grape Vine, Square Boxwood, and Grapevine are popular.
And, yes, how about year round . . . Burlap.
I like the name "Dolly Parton Holly Dolly." What does a burlap wreath look like? And finally, four THOUSAND dollars for a wreath? Jeepers!
